We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent for an upcoming MTA project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring that all work is done in accordance with the project plans, specs, and schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in heavy civil construction and rail projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the project, including the coordination of craft personnel and subcontractors.
- Developing and maintaining a safe working environment, consistent with company safety policies.
- Ensuring that all work is done in accordance with the plans, specs, and schedule.
- Understanding and complying with MTA requirements, including ADA and NYCTA.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, including progress updates, cost estimates, and other technical documents.
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in heavy civil construction projects.
- Knowledge of MTA standards, including ADA and NYCTA.
- Experience with design-build projects and subway construction is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid Foreman license preferred.
