Senior Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in various areas of law, particularly in labor law and construction-related legal matters. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for providing legal guidance, representation, and support to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while advocating for their best interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on labor law and construction-related issues.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client needs.
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective representation of clients.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff to develop case strategies.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients in the construction and labor sectors.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in NY, NJ admission a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on labor law and construction accidents.
  • Strong knowledge of Labor Law 240, Labor Law 241, and Labor Law 200.
  • Experience in insurance defense and property damage cases.
  • Proven track record in handling construction defect and defense cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
