Business Development Specialist - Construction

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, and driving sales growth in the construction sector.

This role will include base compensation (listed) and bonus/commission to determine total compensation. This is an outbound role that will bring in new opportunities for business to the company. The team has a technical team in place to help with details on any deals, so this role will focus on relationships and outbound business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry
  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, and materials suppliers
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential clients
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and stakeholders
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and vendors
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects meet client expectations
  • Track sales metrics and report on performance to management

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development or outside sales in the construction sector
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and architecture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the GC and Architecture landscape 
  • Ability to build relationships and network effectively with industry professionals
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
