Chief Electrical Estimator

Position Overview
The Chief Electrical Estimator is responsible for leading the estimating department in all electrical projects. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and ensuring all estimates align with company standards and client expectations. The Chief Estimator will also play a key role in project bidding and collaboration with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for projects.
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimates.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and support for estimates.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies during the estimating process.
Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.
Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to management and clients.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
Proven track record of successful project estimates and bids.
Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and principles.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
