Controller
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The Controller will be responsible for establishing financial policies and procedures, budgeting, forecasting, and managing the company's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting processes
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to the management
- Maintain compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Supervise the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws
- Coordinate and manage audit processes with external auditors
- Implement and maintain ERP systems for improved financial management
- Oversee general ledger management and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
- CPA certification preferred
- Proficient in financial analysis and variance analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Prophet 21 and Epicor P21
- Experience in distribution and manufacturing industries is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
