Firm Overview: We are a well-established law firm based in the Houston area, offering comprehensive legal services to businesses across multiple sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Transactional Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in corporate, construction, real estate, or mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to join our growing team!

 

Position Overview: The ideal candidate will assist clients with estate planning and wealth management, drafting wills, trusts, and other related documents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys in advising clients on estate planning strategies, asset protection, and succession planning. outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and implement wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning documents.
  • Provide clients with strategic advice regarding estate and tax planning.
  • Assist with the administration of estates, including probate proceedings and trust administration.
  • Advise clients on gift and estate tax planning, including potential implications and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients, accountants, financial planners, and other professionals to create comprehensive estate plans.
  • Conduct legal research on evolving laws related to estate planning, taxation, and probate.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of asset protection strategies.
  • Represent clients in probate proceedings and related disputes when needed.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients, ensuring their estate plans remain up to date.

 

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, or related practice areas.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of estate planning laws, tax regulations, and probate processes.
  • Texas bar admission or eligibility to obtain.
  • Ability to handle complex matters independently while working collaboratively with the team.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and client service skills.
