Fleet Technical Manager

Position Overview
The Fleet Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational performance of the fleet. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, optimizing maintenance processes, and leading a team of technicians to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the fleet maintenance team to ensure timely and effective vehicle servicing.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to enhance fleet reliability and performance.
  • Conduct regular diagnostics and troubleshooting of fleet vehicles to identify issues and ensure optimal functioning.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs to adhere to budgetary constraints and improve cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and federal regulations, including FAA airframe and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Utilize fleet software solutions to track maintenance activities and analyze performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and address any technical challenges that arise.
  • Lead training and development initiatives for team members to enhance their skills in automotive systems and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and fleet management.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a deep understanding of automotive systems.
  • Experience in team leadership and managing technical teams effectively.
  • Solid understanding of cost control measures and budget management within a fleet context.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance, particularly FAA regulations.
  • Familiarity with fleet software solutions for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Bombardier Challenger aircraft or similar aviation vehicles is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
