Insurance Defense Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Insurance Defense Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, particularly in areas such as construction defect, auto liability, and general liability. This position requires effective legal research, drafting, and trial preparation skills to defend clients against various claims.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to insurance defense cases.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through trial.
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to build strong defense strategies.
Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on liability issues and risk management.
Negotiate settlements and resolutions with opposing counsel.

Qualifications

Barred in FL
5+ years of experience in insurance defense or related field.
Strong knowledge of construction defect, auto liability, general liability, professional liability, and premises liability.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Proven trial experience is nice to have.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
