Title: Marketing Specialist - Communications
Location: San Francisco, CA 94108 OR Los Angeles, CA 90015
Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

Schedule: 9x80 Hybrid - Mondays & Fridays Remote. Tuesday - Thursday is On-Site. Every other Friday is off.

Founded in 1966, we are a 100-employee full-service architectural & interior design firm with offices in San Francisco & Los Angeles. We specialize in custom homes & estates, multifamily residential & hospitality commissions, along with educational & cultural projects for clients across California. Our firm has been recognized with dozens of awards over the years, including a Presidential Citation & California Firm of the Year. We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist - Communications to join our growing team and support our internal and external marketing initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and implement marketing communications strategies aligned with firmwide goals and values.
  • Create compelling content and storytelling across digital and print platforms to promote BAR's projects, people, and achievements.
  • Maintain and evolve a consistent, elevated design aesthetic for all marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with leadership and design teams to support project storytelling and brand messaging.
  • Manage internal communications, social media, website updates, and email campaigns.
  • Coordinate events, promotions, and external communications including press releases and conference participation.
  • Track and report on marketing performance metrics and campaign effectiveness.
  • Support CRM efforts using Unanet by Cosential and manage Mailchimp campaigns.
  • Occasionally travel to events, conferences, and project sites.

What You Need for this Position

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, with at least 3 years in the A/E/C industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in layout and design for marketing materials.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision and Unanet by Cosential is a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work on-site in either our San Francisco or Los Angeles office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
