As a market leader in electrical utility construction, we focus on electrical substation, transmission power line, and distribution power line projects across the United States. We are a subsidiary of a prominent specialist contractor in the United States, allowing us to leverage and scale a diverse set of resources for complex electrical infrastructure projects throughout the Western United States. We constantly provide our customers with excellent data and effective project solutions by using our broad subsurface expertise, a focus on constructability, and the backing of skilled partners. In other words, we are in a unique position to provide the customized service of a small firm while leveraging the resources of a bigger group.

Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee and manage construction projects within the utilities sector, focusing on high-voltage transmission and substation projects. The role involves coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction projects related to high-voltage transmission and substations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and provide progress reports to upper management.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction or electrical utilities industry.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage transmission and substation construction preferred, or knowledge of drilling foundations, below ground conduits, pier foundations, and/or ground grids within a substation. 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
