QC Manager

Position Overview
The QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality control processes for earthwork and environmental remediation projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams to implement quality assurance protocols, conducting inspections, and providing guidance on best practices to maintain quality and profit margins. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for heavy civil construction projects.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Review and approve project submittals, including materials and methods, to ensure compliance with specs.
Train and mentor staff on quality control practices and procedures.
Prepare and maintain quality control documentation and reports for project stakeholders.
Travel to project sites to ensure compliance with QC and safety plans.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of heavy civil construction experience (5+ years in QC leadership)
Active CQM certification
Willingness to travel to construction sites across the US.
Prior experience with successful execution on USACE projects.
Prior project experience with environmental remediation, earthwork, and mass excavation.
HAZWOPER certification is a PLUS.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
