Senior Controls Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of control systems for various industrial applications. This role requires a strong technical background in automation and control engineering, with a focus on PLC programming and system integration to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop control system architectures including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Program and configure control systems using structured text, ladder logic, and other programming languages.
Create and review electrical schematics, control panels, and installation designs.
Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of control systems.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for control system operations and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with mechanical and electrical systems.
Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, FactoryTalk, and Studio5000 for design and documentation.
Implement communication protocols such as Ethernet and Modbus for device integration and data exchange.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a strong focus on PLC programming and design.
Proficient in control system hardware and software including Allen Bradley, Schneider, Beckhoff, and Beijer.
Strong knowledge of industrial automation, P&ID, PFD, and safety standards (UL, NEC, NFPA).
Experience with sensors, actuators, and troubleshooting complex control systems.
Familiarity with industry best practices and methodologies in controls engineering.
