Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Bethesda, MD. 
Salary: $120k - 200k+.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).


Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The candidate will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions in mission-critical facilities and complex structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor team of 8-10 more junior engineers.
  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to create comprehensive schematics and layouts.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and progress.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare specifications for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Participate in inspections to ensure quality and compliance of installations.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit for design purposes.
  • Engage in problem-solving and communication with clients and team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in mission-critical facilities and complex structures is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with ETAP software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LEED standards is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.
