Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bethesda, MD. 
Salary: $120k - 180k.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering design. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).  Leadership experience.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet all required specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Participate in project meetings to communicate design progress and address project challenges.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating detailed design layouts and schematics.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
  • Experience with mission-critical facilities and complex structures is a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to deliver projects on time.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
