Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer (SME) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in software development and engineering to create innovative solutions and enhance existing systems. This position requires a strong understanding of various programming languages and technologies, as well as the ability to work in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java, Python, and other relevant languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
  • Utilize SQL for database management and data manipulation.
  • Manage version control using GIT and ensure code quality through debugging and testing.
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles to build scalable and maintainable codebases.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
  • Contribute to machine learning projects and web development initiatives.
  • Work with Linux-based systems and cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Implement identity management solutions (IDAM, ICAM) and manage infrastructure as code using CloudFormation.
  • Utilize Neo4j and ElasticSearch for data storage and querying.
  • Integrate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices using Jenkins and Rundeck.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
  • Strong experience in software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Solid understanding of SQL databases and data management.
  • Experience with version control systems such as GIT.
  • Knowledge of debugging techniques and tools.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts and applications is a plus.
  • Experience with web development technologies and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and cloud computing services, especially AWS.
  • Knowledge of identity management solutions (IDAM, ICAM) is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with graph databases like Neo4j and search engines like ElasticSearch.
  • Experience with Node.js and related technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAFE Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Security clearance TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph is required.
