Controls/Sales Engineer

Remote with 25-50% Travel as Needed

Position Overview
The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring the delivery of effective and innovative automation solutions. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, designing solutions that incorporate motion control systems, and overseeing the implementation of these solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to assess their automation needs and propose tailored solutions.
Design and implement motion control systems using PLC, VFD, and servo motor technologies.
Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation.
Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of solutions deployed.
Develop and maintain documentation related to system designs, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
Train clients on the operation and maintenance of their automation systems.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in motion control and automation technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar role in the automation industry.
Strong understanding of motion control systems, including PLC, VFD, and servo motors.
Experience with HMI systems and user interface design.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and on-site support as needed.
