Sr. Accountant
Position Overview
The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting for our corporate clients and start-up ventures. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle complex financial transactions and work effectively in a fast-paced investment firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate environments or investment firms.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience working with start-ups and understanding their unique financial needs.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
