Sr. Design Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of innovative medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a strong background in engineering design, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to quality and excellence in product development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of medical devices from concept through to production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
Conduct engineering analysis and testing to ensure product reliability and safety.
Create and maintain technical documentation and design records in accordance with compliance standards.
Utilize 3D modeling and FEA to optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Support prototyping and testing efforts to validate design concepts.
Implement design control processes to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Design Engineer, specifically in the medical device industry.
Proficient in mechanical design, product development, and prototyping.
Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and engineering analysis.
Strong skills in 3D modeling and FEA software tools.
Knowledge of compliance standards related to medical devices.
Excellent technical documentation skills and understanding of design quality principles.
ASQ Certified or equivalent quality certification is a plus.
Proven problem-solving abilities and strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
