Location: Emmaus, PA area

Position Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with our company's objectives. This role focuses on optimizing supply chain processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the acquisition of quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Conduct cost analysis and market research to identify potential suppliers and assess pricing trends.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages or overages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with product development and operational needs.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.
Support risk management efforts by assessing supply chain vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Strategic Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes.
Experience in cost analysis and vendor management.
Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of mechanical and or plastics manufacturing and relevant materials.
