Position Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, and liaising with subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
Manage and supervise on-site construction activities and personnel.
Coordinate subcontractor meetings and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Monitor project progress, schedule changes, and implement project changes as necessary.
Maintain quality control throughout the construction process and address deficiencies promptly.
Conduct safety orientations for all personnel on site.
Manage labor and supervision costs, ensuring projects remain within budget.
Prepare and review project schedules and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of phases.
Engage in preconstruction activities, including planning and resource allocation.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of project progress and quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Superintendent in construction, particularly in commercial, healthcare, hospitality and mixed-use projects.
Strong knowledge of construction practices and operations.
Experience in project scheduling and construction management.
Understanding of financial management principles related to construction projects.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
