Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential problems.
- Collaborate with production staff to address maintenance needs and optimize equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Install new equipment and assist in the setup and calibration of machinery.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to regulatory compliance standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, and millwright techniques.
- Experience with PLC systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
